Maddy Bringing Up Mommy

Maddy is oddly obsessed with the Swiffer mop. I think she just likes to push the button and have the cleaning liquid squirt out. Whenever I bring up housecleaning, Maddy is so enthusiastic. Predictably, when I talk about cleaning up her toys and books -- she turns deaf!!

Maddy's always explored her own body. She wants to know how tall she is and what she weighs, if she's grown lately.. The best story about Maddy exploring her own body started before she even turned two -- while attending Rodeph Sholom's "Learning Together" class. She was across the room from the ball pit in the mini gym, getting ready to make a running jump into the pit when she threw her hands into the air and exclaimed, "SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!!!" As she sat smiling and quite pleased with herself in the ball pit, both of her teachers, Stephanie and Janna, turned around and looked at me with a mixture of amusement and puzzlement.. That was actually the most she had said in one go thus far in their presence. Maddy does indeed like to shake her booty -- mostly in my face.

Maddy likes to make up far-fetched stories about what is going on in school and also makes up stories about what her grandfather in heaven is doing or saying!
